Naomi C. Rose draws on the rich culture of the Tibetan people to create a delightful story. It’s a book where the love and concern of a granddaughter for her grandfather reaches out and draws in a whole community which opens its collective heart, showing how people care for one another. Truly heartwarming. The engaging text is supported by a vibrant pallet of impressionistic art. Lovely pinks, purples, blues, and greens evoke the splendor of the garden, pulling us in, and reaffirmimg the healing power of nature. Overall, a charming tale suitable for all ages and destined to be read and enjoyed, again and again.

The release date for INTO THE LAND OF SNOWS is Feb. 16, 2012. The book will first be available through the publisher at www.jupitergardens.com. It will be offered through Amazon about three weeks later in both print and kindle editions. It’s an exciting time seeing this book become a reality.

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been going through the manuscript and working on changes suggested by my editor. Everything has been pretty minor. A few clarifications and then mostly typing and formatting issues. It should go back to her next week and then we’ll see what else she might need.

It’s pretty exciting to have a domain name and have a real presence on the internet. I was lucky that the sculptor, Ellis Nelson, had not already purchased this name. Yay! Eventually readers will be able to find me and a readership will develop. Let’s hope so anyway. Can’t wait to be able to post the book’s cover and info on a release date.

Today I’m continuing with the process of setting up this blog. There are so many themes that it’s a bit intimidating trying to find the best one. I like the ones that are crisp with a large header and not so busy. I find the dark ones very off-putting. For now, I think I like MistyLook.

So this is the world of blogging. I’m totally new to this process but I’m determined to be here and learn all about it! This is my first blog and although I’ve read other people’s blogs, I’m not really sure what to expect from it. I’m armed with one of those Dummies books and I’m making my way through it. As you’ve probably guessed, we’re up to the part on actually writing something.
